Why Timely Is Google Rankings New Game

By Arah Sho

The Official Google Blog has it clear: A year after Google Caffeine's launch, the algorithm that allows Google to index or crawl the web for the latest and most related information, was released, Google is now utilising the freshness factor for its searches, and said that the Caffeine rush will now have an effect on up to 35% of search results.

Google said it is now building up on the momentum of Caffeine, which allows Google to search the web for timely, relevant, recurring, plus hot content far and wide and as quickly as possible.

This significantly impacts SEO. Now, SEO copywriters have to pass the T-R-U test in their content creation and curation.

Timely. Write timely and related content for better ranking. Writers can make use of the Google Trends tool as reference for topics which are trending. The trending even has tiers, from mild, hot to spicy. Using the trends, writers can attach their keyword which is usually the name of a product or service on appropriate trending items. This requires a higher level of imagination and technique.

Recurring. SEO copywriters can moreover take advantage of writing recurring items, such as the presidential elections or NFL, or annual events that are global in importance. Google's algo has refined the searches in such a way that it ranks pertinent and timely events as well. Content writers can check Google Trends or even work out their own calendar of yearly events and hold interviews with credible sources linked to these events so the posts they write will be most pertinent and informative.

Updated. Google will now serve information to searchers as though serving newly baked cookies. Google anticipates that searchers want pertinent and well-run information, not information from 7 days ago which people by now know. Google understands that most web users want to be at the leading edge of information.

With Google Caffeine at the present giving preference to freshness, SEO writers will have better results for their posts if these articles pass the TRU check.
