Truck Wraps & Advertising Done With The Baltimore Orioles

By Robert Sutter

Sometimes tourists have to be drawn into certain areas by the best attractions in the world. Amusements parks are a great example of this; they can provide enjoyment for just about anyone, so the ability to go to parks like these does not require much in the way of convincing. However, what about being drawn in with the idea of baseball? This is where the Baltimore Orioles can come into play and experts in truck wraps will be able to tell you why this is the case.

CBS DC posted an article in regards to a billboard that was placed along I-295 in Maryland, just before the Washington D.C. border. What the billboard in question shows are a group of three players from the Baltimore Orioles baseball team: Adam Jones, Chris Davis and Manny Machado. While the billboard itself may be able to grab attention, you may be curious about what the purpose of it is. To put it simply, it was designed and set up in order to get people to buy tickets.

As the report covered, the billboard would have a phone number, which individuals would then be able to call to purchase tickets to baseball games. This is an important point to note, one of the reasons being that the billboard was built 6.5 miles or so outside of Nationals Park. Another reason why this is a prominent point to note is that Nationals Park has been viewed as the home territory for the Washington Naturals. This is where it'd be safe to say that the feud between sports teams could be furthered.

With favoritism towards sports teams aside, though, this kind of ad placement is a movement that can call for the support of authorities such as JMR Graphics. Strategy is crucial when it comes to advertising with any materials, ranging from billboards to truck wraps. Placement is especially important and the fact that this particular billboard was positioned in what many sports fans would call enemy territory is very creative. It's a move that will, undoubtedly, draw in publicity. After all, this is the goal of advertising in general.

Sports fans are some of the most passionate individuals, in regards to their hobbies, and I believe that baseball stands tall in this regard. Individuals want to be able to support their teams and the idea of a billboard featuring an opposing team being built stands a great chance of eliciting a tremendous amount of ire. However, in terms of ad placement alone, it's easy to see why this was done. The proximity towards Nationals Park, in addition to the appeal towards tourists, is hard to overlook.

Car Wraps & The L&p's Latest Ad Campaign

By Paula Hess

It goes without saying that certain marketing campaigns will be able to stand out more than others. For example, why is it that so many people decide to go with car wraps as opposed to other forms of advertising that might be viewed as more modern? Perhaps there's simply a level of reliance associated with them or maybe they're able to actually appeal to more people. Regardless, it seems like L&P's latest ad campaign has the potential to become yet another memorable effort made in marketing.

According to an article on PSKF, the soft drink company known as L&P decided to make an ad campaign at the tail end of summer in New Zealand. The way that this was done is actually very creative, as the ad actually engaged people passing by with tangible results. More specifically, individuals could actually pull flip-flops and towels as they walked by. To say that this is a different take on marketing would be an understatement but it is a take that I'd like to see emulated more often.

It seems like freebies are the best items to put into place for the sake of earning consumer trust early on. Keep in mind that the freebies in question do not exactly have to be ones that are costly; they simply have to be of some kind of worth in order to stand out. For this reason, the idea of free towel and flip-flop distribution by L&P makes sense. It displays a great level of generosity on the company's part but I also feel like it shows initiative on the company in question to appeal to the masses.

Manufacturers of car wraps will be able to tell you that the idea of appealing to a wide group of people can present something of a challenge. Colors and designs alike have to be utilized and they have to be done in ways that make sense. Even then there is an element of challenge to consider but it seems like L&P was able to come up with something so unique that they were able to overcome typical obstacles in marketing. For this reason, advertising authorities the likes of JMR Graphics should take notice.

As New Zealand slowly finds itself inching from the summer months, it's clear that companies will take advantage of that. L&P is no exception to the rule, as this particular report showcased. It is clear that some ads are never going to be able to appeal to everyone, which is understandable given that not every company is going to have the same audience in mind. Freebies cannot hurt, though, and I can only hope that this campaign boosted the credibility of L&P that much more.
